This adorable miniature evergreen tree is a member of the mallow family native to tropical regions of Mexico and Cuba. Commonly called Turk's Cap and Cardinals Hat because the flower petals only partially unfurl, producing narrow funnel shaped bright red flowers year round when kept warm. Immature fruit is green and deep red when mature. Great indoor flowering bonsai tree that blooms easily during the growing season.
